Didim-Milas highway upgrade, infrastructure subcontractor

Gokbilge acts as infrastructure subcontractor on the Didim-Milas highway upgrade, a $115 million programme covering a 65 km alignment and 260 km of four-lane highway infrastructure. The scope includes two city bypasses, one bridge, six viaducts, 20 km of irrigation-channel and utility relocation and three river diversions.

Linear infrastructure spreads crews, plant, materials and interfaces over a wide geography. Progress therefore needs to be managed by location and work front, with access, earthworks, structures, utilities and watercourse interventions sequenced so one package does not block the next.

Utility offsets, irrigation channels and river diversions add interfaces beyond normal roadway construction. Existing services and waterways must continue to function or be transferred through controlled temporary and permanent arrangements while adjacent highway works progress.

The combination of bridges, viaducts and diversion works requires close coordination between earthworks, drainage, structural construction and access planning. The project illustrates Gokbilge's capacity to manage infrastructure where progress depends on resolving multiple civil interfaces across a long corridor rather than completing a single isolated structure.
