Ankara-Sivas high-speed railway design

The Ankara-Sivas assignment covered design services for a section of the high-speed railway corridor, including alignment and structural design. Railway geometry and civil structures need to be developed as one system because changes to alignment, levels or structural arrangement can propagate into earthworks, drainage, crossings and construction quantities.

Coordination with civil contractors was therefore an important part of the design role. Design information had to be usable within the contractor's execution sequence and sufficiently clear for interfaces and tender-stage requirements to be understood before work packages were committed.
