Shipment readiness dokümantasyon readiness'ini de içermelidir. Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, transport document, customs classification, permit ve project-specific exemption/approval dispatch öncesi kontrol edilmelidir. Eksik veya tutarsız belge transport time'ı uncontrolled customs dwell time'a çevirebilir.

Customs plan contractor kontrolündeki işleri Employer, importer of record, customs broker veya authority bağımlılıklarından ayırmalıdır. Exemption, temporary import, re-export, tax, inspection ve guarantee deposit sorumluluğu açık olmalıdır; aksi halde her taraf diğerini beklerken equipment sınırda kalabilir.

Site receiving resmi control point'tir. Quantity, visible damage, packaging condition, preservation status, serial number ve required documentation sorumluluk storage/installation'a geçmeden kontrol edilmelidir. Damage günler sonra receiving evidence olmadan bulunursa carrier veya supplier claim'i zorlaşır.

Storage ve preservation requirement generic warehouse pratiğine değil equipment ihtiyacına göre olmalıdır. Moisture, temperature, rotation, battery maintenance, desiccant replacement, periodic inspection ve covered storage gerekebilir. Logistics plan equipment installation beklerken warranty ve commissioning readiness'i korumalıdır.

Last mile project gate'te değil work front'ta biter. Delivery lifting capacity, access, foundation, embedded item, weather ve installation crew ile sequence edilmelidir. Yalnız 'arrived at site' KPI'ı equipment installable olmadan geçen haftaları gizleyebilir.
