EGS Park was, at the time, the largest and most modern shopping mall built in Denizli province, delivered on a 150,000 sqm site with 57,587 sqm of enclosed construction area, built in 10 months. The completed mall held 70 shops, 2 hypermarkets, 4 cinema screens, 4 fast-food outlets and a go-kart and bowling venue.

All site infrastructure was completed alongside the mall, including 29,560 sqm of roads and open-air parking and 22,000 sqm of landscaped green space.

A separate Congress Centre and Exhibition Fair Hall, with an 8,000 sqm seating area and 12,000 sqm of total construction area, was built on a hill south of the mall overlooking the site, using a reinforced-concrete frame with steel construction and precast structural elements.

Gokbilge provided engineering coordination and claims management for Ayyildiz Inşaat across the mall, infrastructure and congress centre packages, including claims documentation and interface management between contractor and employer.

Large commercial development coordination

EGS Park was developed on a 150,000 m² site and included 57,587 m² of enclosed shopping-centre construction, extensive roads and open parking, landscaped areas, and a separate congress and exhibition complex. The programme was delivered in ten months, creating strong pressure on design coordination, work-package interfaces and timely resolution of site decisions.

Gokbilge provided engineering coordination across mall, infrastructure and congress-centre packages for Ayyildiz Inşaat. The role required technical information from multiple structures and site-development packages to remain aligned so changes in one area did not create unrecorded consequences elsewhere.

Claims management and traceable change

Claims management formed a parallel part of the assignment. On a fast-moving development, changes in quantities, scope, sequence or access can create commercial effects that are difficult to reconstruct after the event unless instructions, technical causes and programme impacts are recorded contemporaneously.

Gokbilge's engineering and claims role connected technical events with the documentation needed to explain their contractual consequence. This provides a more defensible basis for progress valuation, change substantiation and close-out between contractor and employer.

Programme scale and parallel package coordination

The EGS Park reference combines a large overall site, enclosed retail construction, roads and parking, landscaping and a congress/exhibition component. A development of this form naturally creates simultaneous packages with different design maturity, subcontractor interfaces and completion dates.

Engineering coordination in such a programme is therefore less about a single calculation and more about maintaining one controlled information environment across civil, building, infrastructure and specialist packages. Decisions on levels, access, utilities, structures and interfaces can propagate across multiple work areas if they are not recorded and coordinated centrally.

What the reference adds to Gokbilge's contracting profile

This project broadens the company reference base beyond industrial and infrastructure assets. It demonstrates experience with a large commercial development where architectural completion, public areas, infrastructure, external works and specialist building functions all needed coordinated progress.

For current commercial-building clients, the relevance is the delivery logic: package control, interface management, site sequencing and completion planning across a development with many concurrent stakeholders. Those controls are directly applicable to malls, campuses, mixed-use developments and other complex buildings.
