Heavy cargo route survey ve liman seçimi: shipment öncesi ne kanıtlanmalı

Haritadaki rota uygulanabilir transport route değildir. Heavy cargo tek bir bridge, urban turn, overhead line veya zayıf access road nedeniyle engellenebilir. Route study bu nedenle controlling constraint'i ve onu kaldırmak için gerekli engineering/permit action'ı belirlemelidir.

Survey basis actual transport configuration'ı kullanmalıdır: trailer type, axle count, axle spacing, gross combination weight, cargo height/width ve turning envelope. Bridge ve pavement check gerektiğinde local authority ve yetkin specialist ile koordine edilmelidir; logistics planning statutory approval yerine informal assumption kullanmamalıdır.

Port selection aynı cargo definition'a göre test edilmelidir. Quay strength, crane capacity, tandem-lift requirement, storage, RoRo availability, customs arrangement, port working window ve project route önemlidir. Cargo güvenli discharge veya inland movement yapamıyorsa en iyi ocean freight rate anlamsızdır.

Permit lead time programa dahil edilmelidir. Oversized transport road authority approval, police/private escort, movement window, temporary street-furniture removal veya utility coordination gerektirebilir. Cargo destination country'ye ulaşmış olsa bile bu faaliyetler gerçek critical path olabilir.

Route'un failure mode'u da tanımlı olmalıdır. Bridge approval reddedilir, yol kapanır veya port congested olursa ekip alternate route, temporary strengthening, transshipment strategy veya different port seçeneğini bilmelidir. Fallback ancak teknik ve ticari uygulanabilirliği kontrol edildiğinde mitigation olur.
